What’s the difference between a savings account and a checking account?
While there are many differences between the two, one of the easiest ways to remember the differences is to think of a checking account as short-term storage of your money, whereas a savings account is for long-term storage. Checking accounts are designed to be accessed up to multiple times per day, to help pay for things like groceries, gas, and entertainment as you go about your day.
